PROMISE project aims at creating a network of schools, museums and training organizations for the promotion of scientific and technical skills, both in formal and informal educational settings.
The project offers educational training courses carried out in three Training Schools in Italy (Milano, Pisa and Palermo) involving teachers and professionals who can acquire competences to activate laboratory courses of cooperative learning based on educational robotics, in primary and secondary schools.
In our lab have been organized training courses for museum educators based on educational robotics. We have been organized internship for museums of Arte Sacra (Buonconvento), Mezzadria (Buonconvento), Musei per i Bambini-Santa Maria della Scala (Siena), Museo della Scienza di Perugia.
Moreover, the project organizes the Robotics Festival, interactive exhibition during which the students show their projects (Zoos of Robots), other dissemination events, research and design activities.
The ultimate goal is to create a Blended Learning Model for the scientific promotion that provides guidelines for the design, organization and evaluation of laboratory activities based on educational robotics.
